Let food be thy medicine and let food preparation be that key

The quote went was something like that at least, right?

A word on meal prep

🥦meal prep doesn’t always have to mean preparing full on meals. A lot of the time that is needed to prepare a balanced and nutritious meal comes from washing and chopping all the produce.
🥕Just do this all at once early in the week and then it is easy to throw together a mix of the veggies to steam, bake, or sauté them!
🍈Tip: we use onions and garlic in pretty much everything we cook- something that has helped the annoyance of onion tears and pealing garlic bulbs everyday is keeping a small mason jar of already peeled and chopped alliums in the fridge.
🐟not pictured for this weeks meals are fish and chicken breasts for a touch more of that protein.
🍅pictured for this weeks grocery haul is:
Cabbage (yum glutamine!)
Celery, aka Apium graveolens
Tomatoes, shout out to all the prostates out there 🤗
Onion/garlic showing all the ❤️’s and cholesterol levels some lovin’
Spaghetti squash 🍝🤤
Cauliflower+ Broccoli + brussel sprouts to keep the brassicaceae family together forever 👨‍👩‍👧
Asparagus because delicious and also all that b6, cal+mg, and zinc!
Kale because Kale is the new black.
Eggs 🥚🍳
Tuna salad mostly because we had random cans of tuna in the cupboard but not good for my mercury levels 🤭😬
